This is a great chance to get feedback on your beer and learn what other brewers are doing to improve their homebrew. Hope to see you soon.

Free beer tasting this Friday, July 30th
5pm-7pm Fantome Brewing Belgium

Fantôme’s brewer, Dany Prignon, is a lively character who breaks all the rules when it comes to brewing with special ingredients. (How many other brewers have made a mushroom beer?) In fact, not all of his experiments are a success, but every beer is at least interesting and recall the early days of Belgian brewing.

Fantome Saison a fruity, complex saison beer from the Ardennes forest from a tiny farmhouse brewery very hard to find even in Belgium. 8% alc. by volume, with a wonderfully musty and characterful aroma. “Absolutely gorgeous, complex summer refresher with enough interest to drink all year-round.”

.

Fantome “Pissenlit” Saison is the French word for dandelion. Literally, it means “pee in bed,” which we guess describes the physical effect the flower has on French-speaking persons. We are happy to report, however, that we haven’t had any problems with incontinence after downing a bottle of this beer.

Hiver Fantome's winter offering, available December through March or so. Brewer Dany Prignon changes his receipes every year, so we can't so for sure what this year's beer will be like, but it is sure to please lovers of Dany's beers

Free Wine Tasting this Saturday July 31st 3-6pm

Great values from Argentina!

Argentina is regarded as one of the most dynamic wine-producing nations in the world, and possibly the most important wine-producing region in South America.  It is ranked fourth in total volume and is consistently credited as offering some of the best wine values around!

Weinert Carrascal Blanco- A unique blend of Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, this wine tastes like a standout Loire Valley blend, but, lo and behold, it hails from Argentina. The flavors are slightly oxidized with a honeyed, nutty profile, with the zesty citrus of the Sauvignon Blanc sneaking up from the rear. A can't-miss wine for serious white fans!

Weinert Carrascal Rojo- This Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot blend has a well-developed bouquet, combining a touch of oak for its aging of 2 years in French oak casks, with ripe red fruits. Harmonious, smooth, flexible and with a deep flavor, it is a well-balanced wine with just the right level of acidity to keep it lively and rounded.  “One of the best under $15 red blends being made today”-Wine Enthusiast.  “Bodegas Weinert is producing South America’s greatest red wines.”-Robert Parker

Vila Bonarda- Deep ruby in color, with a complex nose of spicy, red fruit, this well-balanced Bonarda has soft, supple tannins on the palate, ending with a long, lingering finish.  Would pair well with a variety of flavorful, stewed dishes including ratatouille, chili, and osso buco.
