A few gems from Dionysus!
2008 Campos du Luz White Blend, Carinena, Spain – This wine is a most interesting blend of chardonnay, viura and muscat. This is a heavy-weight white with a beautiful nose, bright acidity, loads of citrus fruit and a lively mouthfeel.
2007 Domaine Roc Pinot Noir, Loire, France - Bright red, with aromas of cherry and cola. This is a wonderful, modern pinot noir with classic Loire soul.
2007 Gemtree Vineyards "Tadpole" Shiraz, McLaren Vale, Australia - Certified biodynamic wine with zero filtration, zero fining and minimal intervention. Proceeds benefit wetlands projects in Australia!

The Wines of Spring Seed Wine Co.
Spring Seed Wines are made from family-grown, certified organic vineyards in the foothills of McLaren Vale, Australia. Traditional winemaking and minimal processing are at the core of this project.
2008 Four O'Clock Chardonnay – The grapes for this wine were handpicked and gently vinified in stainless steel. This wine soars with aromatics of pineapple and lemon. It is fully dry, with racy acidity and a firm, focused finish.
2008 Scarlet Runner Shiraz - Open fermentation and only 8% new French oak and big barrels give this wine a decidedly old-world structure that is based around dark, firm fruits.

Great Values from the Old World!
Domaine du Couron Viognier, Cotes du Rhone, France -Perfumed aromatics, ripe fruit and firm acidity are perfectly balanced in this delightful end of summer white!
Campos de Luz Old Vine Garnacha, Carinena, Spain - The garnacha grape, much like its tempranillo counterpart, can be expressed in a myriad different ways. This incarnation is fairly full bodied, with concentrated dark fruit, dusty tannins and a bit of black pepper. Delightful wine for 10 bucks!
Vecchia Torre Primitivo, Salento, Italy - One of our favorite wines in the shop, this primitivo is sure to please every red wine lover! A nose of violets, with a lush mouthfeel and soft, velvety tannins. Don't miss this one!

Wines off the Beaten Path!
Take a detour from the traditional likes of Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah and discover some new favorites!
Fred Loimer Gruner Veltliner, Austria- The national grape of Austria, gruner veltliner can be vinified in many different styles. This one is fresh and clean with a remarkable streak of white pepper on the palate! Yum!
DeBortoli Petit Verdot, Australia – A traditional minor grape in Bordeaux, petit verdot takes on an entirely new incarnation as the leading role in this wine. Massive and brooding, this is a true armchair sipper!
Ajello Majus Nero d’Avola, Italy – Often called Italy’s answer to syrah, nero d’avola is grown almost exclusively on the island of Sicily and exhibits some of the same characteristics: warm, friendly and spicy.
